This application is to be used on iPhone when you are on the spot. For an iPad full screen version, you should download ‘Paris scenes’ on the AppStore.

Paris Pocket Guide has been designed to help you on the spot: it knows where you are, thanks to the GPS feature in your iPhone. It also knows what you can discover thanks to its data bank. It can point out everything that is around you, sorting its Points of Interest by order of proximity.

In both cases, Paris pocket guide associates a series of photos in a slideshow to each Point of Interest.

But that’s not all: you can add your own Points of Interest, your own photos, audio comments and videos

On the spot in Paris, you won’t necessarily have easy access to Internet. It doesn’t matter! Paris pocket guide contains its own maps, in great detail. It can act like a GPS and allow you to situate yourself.

The Paris pocket guide can be used without any access to the Internet. However, it can also work online to whirl you into the unlimited world of the Net. For this purpose, each page of description proposes a link to our web server, from which you can visit a selection of other websites on the subject, or whatever you like on the web, without leaving Paris pocket guide.

The Paris pocket guide proposed on the AppStore is very small and will be installed on your iPhone in a short period of time. It’s only the base which, once installed, will permit to download more contents and more maps, directly from our servers. These extensions are free of charge.

The present version to be downloaded includes most districts of the city, and the main parks including the bois de Boulogne and the bois de Vincennes. It contains 187 points of Interest and more than 700 photos. New contents and new maps are added periodically, including audio comments and videos for some Points of Interest.

Paris pocket guide is capable of «Push notification» : if you set this feature, it will send you a message of notification for each new content available for download, even if you are not in the Paris pocket guide or if your iPhone is sleeping.

Paris pocket guide includes a smart, incremental system to download any extensions and updates for all datas: maps, photos, audio and vidéo sequences.

This downloading system works silently in the background, on any kind of network from 2G to WiFi. If your contract with your telephone operator limits or overcharges the number of megabytes, you should prefer WiFi connexions when downloading : some extensions can be huge, especially for audio, video or maps.
